The English Dept in downtown Portland is owned by local designer Elizabeth Dye. The tiny showroom –literally the size of my living room– is a wonderland of tulle, silk shantung, and handmade headpieces from another Portland designer, Twigs and Honey.Seriously, after seeing this sign outside her store I knew it was meant to be!
E for English Dept...E for Elizabeth Dye...E for Emily! There's even a pencil, perfect for my wedding at an old elementary school!
