Here's a sample of the fabric I'll be using as pennant banners for the ceremony and reception decorations. I just need to wash, iron and sew them!

Stationery
I'm finally done tweaking the wedding stationery. I'm so excited to have Kristin print these!
I feel like our stationery is pretty bare bones, an invite and a rsvp postcard, but it works!
Stephen's excited to put a pint of Hammerhead on one of our coasters and hopefully we'll have more to use afterwards!

Stamps, stamps, stamps!
I bought the stamps we'll be using on our wedding invitations and reply postcards today! I had no idea there was such a thing as a "love" themed stamp or that it's an annual thing. Nothing against this year's round of wedding-specific stamps (didn't know these existed either) but the colors and design of the love stamps fit our wedding so much better!
I know, I know...we're wasting $0.16 per stamp by using these on our postcards instead the $0.28 polar bear stamp but oh well!
Graphic playing cards = cuter than a polar bear

Must wear this in a photo!
I'm loving this Twigs and Honey necklace. I can't wait for mine to arrive, I love when my birthday rolls around!
I have to find a way to incorporate this necklace into a photo for the wedding at some point, maybe the engagement photos or rehearsal dinner. Choices, choices...

I found it!
OK, I lied in my last post, this inspiration board from Snippet and Ink is the epitome of what I want our wedding to look like and feel. I'm excited, this week I'm working on invitations and decorations. I'll post some images when I'm done!

Inspiration Boards from Snippet and Ink
I've become obsessed with the blog Snippet and Ink. I can get lost in its collection of too-perfect collages. With each new board I feel the urge to scrap all of my plans and start all over again. Thankfully, I know better.
This board is probably closest to my own color scheme/hodge-podge of plum/poppy/chartreuse/marigold. So, OK, I don't actually have a color scheme as much as a bunch of colors I like.
I love the casual attitude of this board. The whimsy of the flag banner and the old fashioned soda bottles.
I love the homemade cupcake with its rougher texture and the calico fabric feel to this board. The large paper daisies are an element I'd love to incorporate into our wedding somehow.

The warm oranges and reds of this board have the perfect Fall feel to them.
I love this board because the range of bright colors and the whimsical, fun nature of it.

Headgear
All throughout this crazy wedding planning journey I've been surprised by what traditions interest me (the something old, borrowed, new, blue items) and what turns my stomach (veils).
No matter how great Father of the Bride made them look, I never saw myself wearing a veil. Long swathes of tulle rubbing across my face, sticking to my hair and just generally in the way did not sound like fun.
A headband or millinery flower is a very different story, just look at these images from Snippet and Ink. This bride is one of my favorites that I've found online. Truthfully, her English Dept dress was a big inspiration for my own and her Twigs and Honey headpiece is perfect!
